Jakarta Underwater, Flood in Most Area of Jakarta
Two weeks ago, almost all area in Jakarta was flooded. The flood was started on Friday, 2nd of February 2007 after heavy rain for three days every night. I know this blog post is kind of too late, but I was very busy in this two weeks working on a web project for a client from Australia and also I had a trip to Bangka Belitung, I’ll tell you about my trip to Bangka Belitung later on another post.
It was a sudden disaster that Jakarta was flooded, although it’s predictable that Jakarta is always had a flood annually but nobody think that the flood was very bad. Almost all area in Jakarta is covered by water, from 20 cm up to 3 meters! Thousand of houses were gone in the water, you can only see the roof. This means thousand of people suddenly homeless.
Speedy Slow Internet Connection
The Internet connection at my office is very very slow since last week. The ISP Telkom Speedy is a worse ISP ever! I can't even download my emails. Only connection to local websites "within IIX (Indonesia Internet eXchange) network" that is accessible, other than that it's just a blank white screen on my FireFox browser.
I tried to connect to RevTI's server via SSH since yesterday to update the ClamAV antivirus that installed on the server, but because Telkom Speedy is sucks (as always) I can't connect to the server. If I can connect to the server, I got disconnected in the middle of ClamAV installation process.

I had a week off last week, went home to Jogjakarta by car with my older brother (cousin). This is my third time went home by car, but we are not going directly to Jogja. At night of December 22nd we leaving for Bandungan and arrived there in the morning next day.

Yesterday I went to Taman Anggrek Mall to watch Casino Royale movie. Actually I was asked by Liza if I want to go to the cinema on last Friday but I'm still in doubt whether I should go with her, her friends and David because I have a plan to watch with my brother, so I didn't give a yes nor a no answer.
JakJazz 2006 Jazz Festival
The JakJazz 2006 festival was started yesterday, it’s a jazz festival held at Istora Senayan Jakarta. A lot of international and local jazz musician will be performing there. Actually I want to go to the festival but the ticket price is expensive for me, although I can afford it
