Hamilton, Will He a World Champion?
Although last Sunday I didn't watch the Formula One race as I go to the cinema to watch Spider-man 3 the movie, I check on Formula 1 website the result of last race. I'm quite amazed that Lewis Hamilton has been in the first place of world championship standing!
Lewis Hamilton is a rookie in F1 race. He start racing in this year and shows an outstanding performance from the beginning of the race season. Although he never won the first place of a race, he always stands in the podium - 1x on 3rd position and 3x on 2nd position.
Yahoo Web Based Messenger
I check Yahoo's website today and click on Messenger link. They are introducing the new Yahoo! Messenger for the web. I already tried it and quite impressed with its features.
The interface is very good and has almost the same look and feel with the windows application Yahoo! Messenger. It also can show emoticons, show status messages, show message if the chat partner is typing messages. It will play a sound if your chat partners send you a message.
Synaptics TouchPad Scrolling Problem in Firefox Browser
I'm having problem with the touchpad on my notebook Compaq Presario V2000, it doesn't functioning at all when I use Firefox browser. The touchpad also can't do scrolling in Thunderbird email client. It seems the touchpad doesn't work in Mozilla's products.
I don't know what the cause of this problem. The touchpad works well in Windows Explorer and other applications. For some time I didn't mind about this problem as I didn't use Firefox or Thunderbird as often as nowadays.
Problem with Date and Time Zone in CentOS 4.4
Last night I was configuring my new server and having trouble with changing the time zone. I use dateconfig command to change the time zone, I select "Asia/Jakarta" and save the configuration.
Strange thing is the time zone configuration is wrong, instead of WIT the time zone used is UTC. I tried to change the time zone again, this time I didn't use dateconfig but by creating a symlink from /usr/share/zoneinfo/Asia/Jakarta to /etc/localtime, it doesn't work either.
Flood Resistant Amphibious Automobile
With the big flood several months ago in Jakarta and flood possibility in every heavy rain, I think Jakartans should start thinking to buy an amphibious car 
I got this information from a mailing list, a member of that mailing list post pictures of amphibious automobile. I saw an URL on the body of the automobile so I check the website.
On their website http://www.terrawind.com/ C.A.M.I LLC shows their amphibious automobile. There are a sport car, SUV, and a bus! Yes you read it right! They have an amphibious bus! Below are the pictures of the amphibious cars:

Sending Email with SMTP Authentication in C# .NET
On my current C# .NET project, the user wants to have the application send an email if a new data is being inserted to the database. I search on the MSDN for class that will do this task and I found SmtpMail class.
Using SmtpMail is very simple, first you need to add a reference on your project. You can do this by right clicking on ‘References’ and click ‘Add References’. On ‘.Net’ tab find ‘System.Web.dll’ and add it to your project.
Are You an Asshole?
Today I read a blog article titled “ArseMail: The ARSE Followup†by Guy Kawasaki. He is writing about Bob Sutton’s book, The No Asshole Rule: Building a Civilized Workplace and Surviving One That Isn’t . I’ll leave the book for you to read it by your self.
Now.. the fun thing I found at Guy’s blog is this two websites: Send An Arse Mail, a website that want to help someone who is dealing with an asshole, or apologize if you have been one. The second website is Asshole Rating Self Exam (ARSE) website.
April Mop at WebHostingTalk
Today, as usual i visited Web Hosting Talk (WHT) forum - WHT is a forum that discuss almost all topics in webhosting world. I found something strange when I look at the forum website. The ordering of forums and subforums are different with the ordering yesterday.
The first forum that shown is "WHT Staff Only", this is weird as this forum is never shown before. What shocks me is a post in that forum saying "<my nickname> in big trouble, I contacted the police" 
I was afraid if that it's real, but I never done something wrong that badly until someone will call police 
but soon I realize that it was an April mop joke from the replies and other topic that using my nickname.
